Grenfell Tragedy and the Hackitt Report
The nation remembers the Grenfell Tragedy of June 2017, one of the UK’s worst modern disasters. It led to the Hackitt Report and to changes in the social housing regulatory environment. The Building Safety Act requires all social housing staff to meet new competency requirements. The Social Housing Regulator (SHR) must now include Competency Management inspection along with the Health & Safety Executive inspection.
Direct Works’ response to Hackitt Report
Direct Works, the experts in social housing maintenance, showed a resolve to cut through the talk and move to action, running a technology search to identify IT solutions to manage their organisational compliance and competency.
Direct Works identified Sysmax
Seeking compliance with the input of UKAS and BSI, plus other working bodies on the Building Safety Act, Direct Works identified Sysmax would meet all the requirements mentioned in the Hackitt Report. In addition, Sysmax could offer much needed performance improvements in the sector.
