Direct Works Pilot Project Challenges and Results

At the National Housing Maintenance Forum (NHMF) conference in 2023, Peter McAteer, CEO of Sysmax, highlighted the success of six pilot projects conducted in 2022 on compliance and competency in social housing. He discussed the #goldenthread requirements under the Building Safety Act for social housing providers and their supply chain partners to demonstrate compliance and competency. He also presented the core competency roles that were developed and shared with the Direct Works members and the positive feedback from the participants.

By utilising the Benchmax platform across the social housing sector, it is possible to achieve transparency in compliance and competency while reducing costs and increasing efficiency. While achieving uniformity in the oil and gas sector took many years, the social housing sector is now ready to do this at scale. Sysmax has already developed compliance and competency data for the core roles and is now able to share it with any license holder, saving organisations significant time and cost.
